How to Apply Classic Lash Extensions: A Step-by-Step Guide

Classic lash extensions are a great way to enhance your natural lashes and achieve a fuller, longer lash line. If you're a trained lash artist, or just starting out, here's a step-by-step guide on how to apply classic lash extensions.

Step 1: Prepare your workstation

Before you start applying classic lash extensions, make sure you have a clean and organized workstation. Ensure that all your tools are within reach and that you have a clean surface to work on. It's also essential to wash your hands thoroughly and sanitize your tools to minimize the risk of infection.

Step 2: Select the appropriate lash length and thickness

Classic lash extensions come in different lengths and thicknesses, and it's essential to select the appropriate lashes that complement your client's natural lashes. You should also consider your client's desired lash look and choose lashes that match their preferences.

Step 3: Cleanse the natural lashes and apply primer

Cleanse your client's natural lashes using a gentle lash cleanser to remove any makeup residue, oil, or dirt. This ensures that the lash adhesive bonds correctly to the natural lashes, giving the lashes longevity.

Step 4: Isolate one natural lash

Using a pair of tweezers, isolate one natural lash that you want to apply the lash extension to. This is essential to prevent the lashes from sticking together, giving a more natural look. The natural lash should be isolated approximately 1-2 mm from the eyelid.

Step 5: Apply the adhesive to the lash extension

Using a small amount of adhesive, apply it to the base of the lash extension. Ensure that the adhesive is evenly distributed and not clumped together.

Step 6: Apply the lash extension

Using your tweezers, apply the lash extension to the isolated natural lash, starting from the base of the lash. Ensure that the lash extension is placed correctly and that there are no gaps or clumps.

Step 7: Repeat the process

Repeat steps 4-6 for each natural lash, until the desired lash look is achieved. Remember to alternate between the eyes to ensure symmetry.

Step 8: Apply bonder, Fan and brush the lashes

Once all the lashes are applied, fan the lashes to ensure that they are evenly spaced and there are no gaps or clumps. Then, brush the lashes to ensure that they are straight and separated.

Step 9: Aftercare instructions

Provide your client with aftercare instructions on how to maintain their new lashes. These may include avoiding oil-based products, not rubbing the eyes, and being gentle when cleansing the face.

In conclusion, classic lash extensions are a great way to enhance your client's natural lashes and achieve a fuller, longer lash line. By following these steps and providing aftercare instructions, you can provide your clients with beautiful, long-lasting lashes that will make them feel confident and glamorous.
