Swedish Massage Course

A Swedish massage is a popular and widely practiced form of therapeutic massage that focuses on promoting relaxation, soothing muscles, and improving overall well-being. This massage technique employs a variety of movements and pressures to target different muscle groups.

During a Swedish massage, the client typically lies on a massage table, and the massage therapist uses long, flowing strokes known as effleurage to warm up the muscles. These strokes, often combined with kneading and circular motions, help to release tension and promote blood circulation. The therapist may then employ petrissage, a kneading technique that involves lifting and squeezing the muscles, to further alleviate stiffness and enhance flexibility.

Swedish massage also incorporates tapping or percussive movements, such as tapping or cupping, which can stimulate the muscles and invigorate the body. The massage session may conclude with gentle rocking motions or passive joint movements to enhance the overall sense of relaxation.

What sets Swedish massage apart is its emphasis on creating a tranquil and calming experience. Beyond its physical benefits, such as improved circulation and reduced muscle tension, a Swedish massage aims to create a mental and emotional equilibrium, making it a popular choice for those seeking not only physical relief but also a rejuvenating escape from the stresses of daily life.

Bonus with having your Swedish massage if you can add this to additional treatment's i.e. facial's and offer hand or feet massage.

This is the first course you should be taking out if you are wanting to go into massage.
